Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUTI) signed an MoU with Huawei Technologies (Thailand) under the name of “RMUTI NEXT GEN DIGITAL UNIVERSITY” project, in order to join forces in applying technologies to reform and enhance the education system, while supporting creative ideas, sustainable innovation, and unity across the ecosystem.

This alliance will represent the master plan foundation for the development of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan into the new era, equipped with digital capabilities. RMUTI and Huawei will together design a ‘Proof of Concept’ system to evaluate the technical possibilities under real life University scenarios.

In addition, opportunities such as internships and seminars designed for the students will be made available, aiming for an enhancement of knowledge, professional skills, as well as equipping fresh graduates with suitable skills for the current labor market.

The agreement will also create academic and technical knowledge exchange between the faculty and Huawei. The collaboration will enable access to expert consultants in designing a mutual investment framework, as well as establish the laboratory used for the curriculum co-created by RMUTI and Huawei Technologies (Thailand).

The joint curriculum aims to develop operative graduates, a crucial driving force for Thailand’s development, while helping shape the university’s unique identity as “University of Technology creating specified professions”.
