Dr. Sak Segkhoonthod, Senior Advisor at ETDA<\/strong>, emphasized, “AI is revolutionizing work processes and creating new avenues for driving Thailand’s economy. However, unchecked AI utilization can lead to various risks. ETDA is committed to promoting ethical AI governance to maximize benefits for the nation.”<\/p>\n

AI Governance Guideline: A Framework for Thai Businesses<\/strong><\/p>\n

ETDA has developed the AI Governance Guideline for Executives<\/strong>, a pioneering framework in Thailand. This guideline equips executives and business owners with essential knowledge for safely and effectively integrating AI into their organizations.<\/p>\n

The guideline covers three key areas:<\/p>\n

  1. AI Governance Structure:<\/strong> Establishing a robust framework and processes for AI governance within the organization.<\/li>\n

    Empowering SMEs and Startups<\/strong><\/p>\n

    AI is not just for large corporations; it presents significant opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups to reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and create innovative services.<\/p>\n

    Dr. Sak noted, “AI can assist SMEs and startups in various areas, such as customer data analysis, customer service, and human resource management.”<\/p>\n

    ETDA plans to develop additional AI guidelines covering areas like Generative AI, AI Roadmaps, AI Procurement, and AI Job Redesign. Furthermore, the agency intends to establish criteria for evaluating Large Language Models (LLMs), a fundamental technology behind Generative AI.<\/p>\n
