Meanwhile, Japan confronts an acute generational imbalance: workers aged 55 and older make up over 35% of the national construction labor force, whereas individuals under 29 represent only 11%, posing severe bottlenecks as the domestic renovation market expands toward an estimated 9.2 trillion yen by 2040.<\/p>\n
Similar constraints are delaying major residential pipelines in Australia, which faces an 83,000-worker trade shortfall\u2014including nearly 12,000 plumbing professionals\u2014threatening the Commonwealth\u2019s target of constructing 1.2 million new homes.
