OX Delivers Wins £1.2 Million Grant to Expand Clean Transport in Africa

OX Delivers

OX Delivers, an innovative UK-based e-mobility startup, has received a significant £1.2 million grant from Energy Catalyst. This funding will accelerate the development of sustainable energy infrastructure in Rwanda and support the company’s mission to provide affordable, electric transport solutions throughout Africa.

The grant will enable OX Delivers to create flagship projects showcasing the benefits of low-carbon energy “charge-point” infrastructure for its next-generation all-electric OX4 truck. This transformative truck is designed from the ground up to navigate the challenging terrain and meet the unique needs of the Global South.

Transforming Lives and Boosting Economies

OX Delivers is already revolutionizing rural communities in Rwanda with its reliable and affordable transport-as-a-service model. For less than $1, customers can transport goods efficiently across challenging roads, significantly reducing travel time and increasing access to larger markets. This fosters economic growth and social development within local communities.

“We are thrilled to receive this critical funding from Energy Catalyst,” said Simon Davis, Founder & CEO of OX Delivers. “It validates our transport-as-a-service model as an essential part of delivering clean energy solutions and driving economic growth in the Global South.”
