Mr. David Li, CEO of Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., in an exclusive interview at the Huawei Cloud Database Summit Thailand 2024, shared the company’s investment plans and business direction in Thailand, emphasizing the importance of developing local talent to support the growth of digital technology.

“Huawei is committed to being a part of the growth and participating in Thailand’s local ecosystem,” said Mr. Li. “We believe that investing in people is the most important thing. Huawei continues to invest in the Asian Academy program, which has already trained over 70,000 engineers, and plans to further expand the program to address the shortage of tech professionals in Thailand.

Furthermore, Huawei has launched GaussDB, its latest cloud database, in Thailand, the first market outside of China. GaussDB is designed to handle large-scale data processing and AI applications, which are key trends in the digital age.

“GaussDB is a new-generation database that has been trusted by many partners and customers,” said Mr. Li. “We believe that GaussDB will bring many benefits to the Thai industry and help drive the country’s digital transformation.”
