The “Fast Auto Show Thailand 2024” is set to return on July 3-7 at BITEC Bangna, bringing with it a significant shift in the used car market that organizers see as a golden opportunity for both dealers and consumers.

Mr. Pattanadesh Asasappakij President King of Auto Product company limited. chairman of Fast Auto Show Thailand 2024, revealed the origins of the used car warranty offered at the show. It stemmed from a desire to elevate the image of Thailand’s used car market, which has often been perceived as risky and untrustworthy.

“We were the first to announce a 100% warranty and buy-back guarantee if the conditions are not met,” said Mr.Pattanadej. “And we received excellent cooperation from dealers who helped build standards and trust in the market.”

This effort led to the formation of a dealer association, establishing regulations, and building credibility with government agencies and financial institutions. This, in turn, increased the used car market’s turnover and acceptance.

For Fast Auto Show Thailand 2024, a new warranty format will be introduced, issuing warranties directly to buyers to further enhance confidence.

“Together, we will show that the used car market is a trustworthy business,” Mr. Pattanadej emphasized. “You can trust us,there are no refurbished cars here.”

The Electric Vehicle Crisis: Impact on the Used Car Market

Mr. Pattanadej also addressed the impact of electric vehicles (EVs) on the used car market. While not directly affected,the price reductions of EVs have a ripple effect on the prices of gasoline cars, financing, and insurance premiums. This has led consumers to wait and see, delaying their purchasing decisions.

“But believe me, the used car market will grow again,” Mr. Pattanadej said confidently. “Because prices are more negotiable than new cars, the terms are much more flexible.”

In this situation, Mr. Pattanadej sees a golden opportunity for consumers to get quality used cars at a better value than before. He recommends buying cars at Fast Auto Show Thailand 2024 due to the wide variety of models available and the greater opportunity to negotiate prices.
