JSP Targets Aging Population, Reaches 300 Million Baht in 5 Months

J.S.P. Pharmaceutical Industry (Thailand) Public Company Limited (JSP) has announced a strategic shift towards the elderly market, aiming to cater to Thailand’s rapidly aging society. In the first five months of this year, JSP has already generated over 300 million baht in revenue and has set a target of 800 million baht for the entire year.

Mr. Pitsanu Daengprasert, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of JSP, revealed that the company has adjusted its marketing strategy to primarily focus on the elderly population. This includes a marketing budget of over 50 million baht, notably featuring “Mae Ed Duangjai Hataikan” as a presenter, which has been well-received by the target group.

Elderly Business: A Golden Opportunity for JSP

JSP sees significant business opportunities in the elderly market as Thailand is transitioning into a full-fledged aging society. By 2030, it is projected that over 20% of the population will be aged 65 and above. With its strength in manufacturing medicines and supplements from natural extracts and herbs, JSP is well-positioned to meet the demands of this market.

Beyond Sales: Expanding into Services

In addition to product sales, JSP plans to expand into the service sector, particularly by enhancing the services of Grace Water Med Co., Ltd. (GWM), a subsidiary that manufactures dialysis fluids and medical equipment. JSP will utilize a strategy of producing specialized dietary supplements for kidney patients, to be sold at GWM’s dialysis centers, which have a network of over 100 locations.

JSP is committed to producing dietary supplements for kidney patients that cater to Thai tastes, aiming to boost patients’ morale and quality of life. Furthermore, JSP plans to offer rental services for dialysis center equipment, dialysis fluids,and related medical supplies to increase sales channels and contribute to the establishment of more dialysis clinics in Thailand.

Automated Medicine Dispensing Cabinets: A New Opportunity in the Pharmaceutical Business

In addition to the aforementioned strategies, JSP has partnered with MEDIS to launch “Medis Automatic Medicine Dispensing Cabinets,” automated medicine vending machines under the slogan “Medicine Cabinet, Peace of Mind, Near You 24 Hours.” This initiative offers a franchise business model, opening opportunities for new entrepreneurs to enter the pharmacy business. These vending machines will dispense over-the-counter medicines and quality dietary supplements at accessible prices, with plans to expand to various communities across the country.

Mr. Pitsanu, stated that Medis Automatic Medicine Dispensing Cabinets will enhance access to medicines and supplements for people in various communities, while also presenting a business opportunity for those interested in investing in the pharmacy business.
