NT Soars! 4-Month Revenue Hits 27 Billion Baht

NT announced its financial results for the first four months of 2024, surprising the market with total revenue exceeding 27,929.78 million baht and a net profit of 2,257.31 million baht, defying earlier predictions of a loss of over a billion baht.

Pol. Col. Sanpachai Huvanant, President and CEO of National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) , revealed that this robust growth is a result of proactive operations in various areas, including internal systems integration, product and innovation development, and alignment with government policies.

NT is making strides towards becoming a leader in cloud services for the government by developing infrastructure and expanding storage capacity to meet international standards. Additionally, it offers a Market Place on GDCC to accommodate new platforms and applications in the future. Currently, NT Cloud Service serves over 1,700 customers from the government, state enterprises, and the private sector.

5G: The Future NT is Ready to Deliver

NT is actively developing its 5G network with plans to install 4G/5G base stations covering 95% of the population by the end of this year. It also aims to reach 600,000 “my” subscribers on the 700 MHz network and is seeking partners to develop 5G Private Networks for corporate clients.

NT has partnered with OneWeb Network Access Holdings Limited to establish a Satellite Network Portals Site Hosting Service in the ASEAN region, which will serve as a ground station for managing low-earth orbit satellites. This collaboration is a significant step in developing the country’s satellite business and aligns with the National Satellite Communication Policy.

Mr. Prasert Chanthararuangthong, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, stated, “NT is now ready to be a national organization that can connect digital technology and innovation for all Thais.”

NT’s strong financial performance reflects its commitment to developing the country’s digital infrastructure and its readiness to lead in 5G and government cloud technologies. The partnership with OneWeb also opens the door to the satellite business, marking another important step in propelling Thailand into the digital age.
