Brand’s Chicken Essence Inspires New Generation to Donate Blood Across Thailand

Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the maker of Brand’s Essence of Chicken, a leading health supplement brand in Thailand and Asia, together with the National Blood Centre of the Thai Red Cross Society, is extending the duration of its “Give Blood Gives Lives” T-shirt design competition. This contest is part of the 24th annual “Brand’s Young Blood 2024” project.

The competition is open to all students under the age of 22, and submissions can be made individually or in teams of two.The winning design will be printed on T-shirts and given to blood donors at the Thai Red Cross Society. Students can win scholarships, certificates, and a year’s supply of Brand’s products. The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2024.

The aim of the project is to raise awareness among young people about the importance of blood donation and encourage them to become regular donors. In Thailand, the annual blood donation volume is 2.5 to 3 million units. However,statistics from 2023 show that only 170,598 out of 3,194,117 potential young donors aged 17 to 20 actually donated blood. The “Brand’s Young Blood 2024” project hopes to change this by educating young people about the importance of blood donation and making it easier for them to donate.

The project has already seen success, with 49,481 units of blood collected from 64 universities nationwide between January and May 2024. The goal is to reach 100,000 units by the end of the year.

Brand’s Essence of Chicken and the Thai Red Cross Society are calling on all students to participate in the T-shirt design competition and to consider becoming blood donors. By working together, we can ensure a sufficient supply of safe and high-quality blood for patients across the country.
