Bangkok – Huawei continues to host the Huawei Intelligent Healthcare Summit 2024, themed “Accelerating Healthcare Intelligence,” as an exclusive event within the Asia-Pacific ICT Summit 2024 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The Summit highlights Huawei’s commitment to building a comprehensive smart healthcare ecosystem in collaboration with industry partners.

Mr. William Zhang, President of Enterprise Business at Huawei Technologies (Thailand), emphasized the significant transformation within the healthcare sector, embracing digital tools and systems to enhance patient care, hospital management, and overall patient experiences.

As a leading ICT provider, Huawei is committed to building a robust digital foundation for the healthcare industry. The company’s recent launch of the upgraded Intelligent Campus Solution: Campus IOC and Campus Security underscores this commitment. The solution features high network speed, reduced carbon emissions, a user-friendly intelligent system,and enhanced security for stable and secure network operations.

Mr. Zhang affirmed Huawei’s support for Thailand Vision 2030, which aims to establish Thailand as a global healthcare hub. The “Digital Hospital” Framework

Mr. Prayuth TungsaNgob, Chief Technology Officer of Enterprise Business at Huawei Technologies (Thailand),introduced the 1+3+1+1 framework for creating digital hospitals:

  2. 3 Smart Services: Smart healthcare, smart services, and smart management
  3. Central platform for data consolidation
  4. Comprehensive network system including Wi-Fi 7, Fiber to the Office, and 5G

This framework aims to enhance medical efficiency through cutting-edge technology.

Ministry of Public Health’s Future Policies

Dr. Amporn Benjaponpitak, Director-General of the Department of Medical Services, outlined the Ministry’s focus on technology-driven medical services. This includes implementing Smart OPD systems, intelligent management, and data security, prioritizing the development of technologies that cater to widespread use.

Assist. Prof. Sithakom Phusanti, M.D., from the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, highlighted the importance of promoting digital literacy among healthcare professionals. He showcased the hospital’s adoption of an application-based campus management system as a step towards becoming a smart campus.

Dr. Tullawat Pacharapha, Chief Operating Officer at Vejthani Hospital, shared insights into the hospital’s use of technology, such as the Mobile-enabled EMR system, enabling bedside patient care. He also emphasized the potential of Generative AI to enhance EMR utilization in the future.

The event featured an exhibition zone where Huawei and its partners presented cutting-edge health technologies. These included Mutrack’s IoT platform for efficient medical equipment management and 2N2T Connection’s solution for seamless healthcare between hospitals and patients’ homes.
