Bangkok, Thailand – Solar D Corporation, a distributor and installer of integrated solar energy systems for over 15 years, announced the launch of “LightSpeed,” a state-of-the-art solar panel installation robot that increases installation speed by up to 10 times compared to manual labor.

Mr. Sumrit Sitthiwaranuwong, Chief Executive Officer of Solar D Corporation, stated that “LightSpeed” is a result of Solar D’s research and development (R&D) efforts focused on innovation to meet the needs of the continuously growing renewable energy market.
“Traditionally, installing a 1-megawatt solar panel system takes about 60 days, but with the LightSpeed robot, we can reduce that time to just 6 days, which translates to electricity cost savings of up to 600,000 baht per month,” said Mr. Sumrit.
Key features of the LightSpeed robot include:

Mr. Santi Srichawla, Chief Commercial Officer of Solar D Corporation, added that the LightSpeed robot will target large industrial factories that require solar panel installations on rooftops or large areas.
“LightSpeed helps reduce maintenance costs and installation risks, which directly benefits businesses,” said Mr. Santi.
Solar D plans to introduce LightSpeed to the market through online channels, seminars, and collaborations with industry partners. Currently, LightSpeed has been implemented in several large-scale projects such as LG Electronic, ANB packaging, and Honda.
Furthermore, Solar D continues to develop LightSpeed to accommodate more complex projects, expand its business into the regional clean energy market, and aims to list on the Stock Exchange of Thailand by 2026.
“We are confident that LightSpeed will revolutionize solar panel installation and drive Thailand towards a sustainable green economy,” concluded Mr. Sumrit.
