Mr. Ekanat Promphan, Minister of Industry, welcomed and held discussions with Ms. Wong Siow Ping Catherine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore to Thailand, at the Ministry of Industry. The objective was to exchange views on key issues including economic overview, industry, trade, investment, and relations and cooperation between Thailand and the Republic of Singapore. Key individuals in attendance included Mr. Nattapol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Ms. Pailin Tiansuwann, Advisor to the Minister of Industry, and Mr. Paskorn Chairat, Director-General of the Department of Industrial Promotion, Acting Director of the Office of Industrial Economics.
Mr. Ekanat Promphan, Minister of Industry, stated that Thailand and Singapore have long enjoyed good relations. This discussion serves as an excellent opportunity to further strengthen these ties. Singapore emphasized the importance of policies related to trade and investment in the industrial sector to align with the changing global landscape, particularly in the following areas:
