AIS Pays 5th Installment for 700 MHz Spectrum

Bangkok, ThailandAdvanced Wireless Network Company Limited (AWN), a subsidiary of AIS, Thailand’s leading digital infrastructure provider, has announced the payment of the 5th installment for the 700 MHz spectrum license, amounting to 1,881,488,000 baht (one billion eight hundred eighty-one million four hundred eighty-eight thousand baht) to the NBTC. Mr. Suttisak Tantayothin, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, was present to receive the payment.

Mr. Waruntep Watcharaporn, Head of Business Relations at AIS, said, “The 700 MHz spectrum is crucial in enhancing AIS’s digital infrastructure, especially in developing the capabilities of 5G to be ready for connectivity and supporting the operations of both the public and private sectors. We would like to reiterate our commitment to continuous investment to improve the quality of service and develop the country’s digital infrastructure to be robust and cover the usage of customers and Thai people.”

The payment of the 5th installment for the 700 MHz spectrum demonstrates AIS’s commitment to continuous investment in developing its 5G network to be comprehensive and efficient, meeting the needs of customers in the digital age.
