Emirates Unveils Luxurious Lounge at SAT-1, the Second Largest in the World

Bangkok, Thailand – Emirates has officially opened its newly renovated lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport‘s Satellite 1 (SAT-1) building in Bangkok, following a US$5 million investment. This opening underscores the airline’s commitment to providing premium services to its Thai customers. The lounge is Emirates’ second largest, after the one in London, reflecting Thailand’s importance as a key aviation and tourism hub in Southeast Asia.

Mohammed Alwahedi, Emirates’ Country Manager for Thailand, stated that Thailand is a vital market for Emirates. The airline began serving Thailand in 1990 and launched direct flights to Phuket in 2012, connecting Bangkok, Phuket, and other destinations worldwide.

“Thailand is a popular destination, especially among premium travelers. We are committed to providing a seamless and exceptional travel experience for all our customers,” said Mr. Mohammed.

Emirates operates six daily flights from Bangkok to Dubai, with four served by the Airbus A380 and one by the Boeing 777. Additionally, there’s a daily flight from Bangkok to Hong Kong, also operated by an Airbus A380.
