Bangkok, Thailand – Advanced Info Service (AIS), Thailand’s leading digital service network provider, today announced the fifth iteration of its prestigious Thailand Social AIS Gaming Awards, slated for 2025. In collaboration with Wisesight, the nation’s top social data analytics firm, and premium cinema One Ultra Screens, the awards aim to celebrate and elevate figures within the burgeoning gaming and esports sectors based on their social media impact over the past year. This initiative underscores a significant commitment to fostering the Thai gaming and esports industries, driving them towards international competitiveness and contributing substantially to the sustainable growth of Thailand’s digital economy.
The Thailand Social AIS Gaming Awards 2025 is set to be the grandest stage in the country for such recognitions, reaffirming its status by preparing to confer a total of 39 awards. A notable development for its fifth year is the introduction of the prestigious “Hall of Fame” award, which will be presented to individuals who have achieved and maintained excellence in their categories for five consecutive years. This strategic initiative is designed not only to honor achievement but also to act as a catalyst, propelling Thailand’s gaming and esports industries to meet and exceed international standards, thereby making a significant contribution to the sustainable expansion of the nation’s digital economic landscape.
Ms. Rungthip Jarusiripipat, Head of AIS Game Business Department at AIS, elaborated on the company’s deep-rooted commitment to the sector’s advancement. “We have consistently demonstrated our commitment to advancing the Thai gaming and esports industries by organizing tournaments across all levels—from schools and universities to the general public,” she stated. Furthering this commitment, AIS has also established the E-Sports Community Hub, a dedicated facility aimed at providing a space for skill development and supporting individuals on their path to becoming professional esports athletes. “In addition, the Thailand Social AIS Gaming Awards serves as a platform to recognize and honor individuals who play a vital role in driving the growth and development of gaming and esports,” Ms. Jarusiripipat added.
She also pointed to compelling data indicating a continuous rise in Thai interest in esports. “Our data shows that Thai interest in esports continues to rise, as reflected in the growing number of communities—including content creators, professional players, game publishers, and behind-the-scenes talents,” Ms. Jarusiripipat highlighted. “This year, we have seen the emergence of new rising stars who have made remarkable contributions on social media. AIS remains committed to supporting and growing alongside the Thai gaming and esports industries.”
This vision of industry elevation and economic contribution is strongly shared by AIS’s partners. Mr. Kla Tangsuwan, Chief Executive Officer of Wisesight (Thailand) Company Limited, emphasized the strategic importance of the gaming sector. “The gaming industry lies at the core of Thailand’s rapidly expanding digital economy,” he remarked. “At Wisesight, we are committed to leveraging social media insights to drive the development of the Thai gaming and esports sectors toward achieving international recognition. The fifth edition of the Thailand Social AIS Gaming Awards marks another significant milestone, underscoring the shared commitment of all stakeholders to the serious and sustainable advancement of the industry.”

Through this initiative, we hope to contribute meaningfully to elevating the Thai gaming industry and helping it shine on the global stage.”
The credibility and impartiality of the Thailand Social AIS Gaming Awards 2025 are ensured by a distinguished judging panel. This panel features three esteemed experts from the gaming, esports, and social media industries: Mr. Sakkaphon Sawarkkaphun, Chief Executive Officer of NEX Studio and Registrar of the Esports Association of Thailand; Mr. Methee Chuaypu, Lecturer in Games and Interactive Media at Bangkok University’s Faculty of Information Technology and Innovation, and Founder & Creative Director of Bugblio Studio Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Anuchit Iamsriurai, Chief Executive Officer of This Is Media Co., Ltd. These experts constituted the advisory committee tasked with the crucial role of evaluating nominees and determining the recipients of this year’s awards.
The evaluation framework for the awards is systematically divided into two primary formats: “Social Metric for Brand” and “Social Metric for Creator.” These metrics are applied across five dominant social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube, with each platform carrying a distinct weight in the scoring process. The “Social Metric for Brand” is employed to assess the social media efficacy of brands within the gaming ecosystem, specifically for award categories such as The Most Popular Game Publisher and The Most Popular Game Device and Gadget.
This metric quantifies performance by analyzing mentions and discussions about the brand on external channels (Earned Channel), translating this into an “Earned Score.” The assessment incorporates “Fundamental Factors,” including follower numbers, reactions, comments, shares, brand replies, YouTube and Instagram views, and overall social voice. It also considers “Analytical Factors” such as comment and share proportions, sentiment analysis, Facebook tag friend activity, and expressed intention to buy on Facebook.
Conversely, the “Social Metric for Creator” is designed to measure the social media performance of individual creators for categories like The Most Popular Game Content Creator, The Most Popular Esports Player and Esports Club, The Most Popular Game Content Creator on Platforms, and The Most Popular AIS eSport Fanpage creator. The data collection and scoring methodology for creators are nuanced. For “Online Creators,” data is harvested from their owned channels across the five main platforms.
For “Celebrities,” owned information is collected from official accounts, supplemented by earned media gathered through person-specific keywords, filtered for relevance to gaming. The score calculation for creators follows a three-step process. Step one involves creating a performance shortlist by identifying individuals with the top 10 performance metrics (follower counts and engagement) on each platform. Step two is the score calculation, where scores for each platform are computed individually, with the two best-performing channels selected as the main score contributors.
This calculation integrates “Fundamental Factors” such as follower growth (owned), social voice (earned), reactions, comments, shares (both owned and earned), and video views (both owned and earned). “Analytical Factors” like the percentage of comments and shares by engagement (owned and earned) and overall sentiment (owned and earned) are also included. The final step allows for bonus points to be awarded to creators who demonstrably provide benefits or happiness to their audience, as evidenced by comments.
The 39 awards for the Thailand Social AIS Gaming Awards 2025 are categorized into seven distinct groups, reflecting the diverse talent and contributions within the industry: Group 1: Rising Game Content Creator and Esports Players (6 awards) Group 2: The Most Popular Game (10 awards) Group 3: The Most Popular Gaming Industry and Business (5 awards) Group 4: The Most Popular Game Content Creator (7 awards) Group 5: The Most Popular Esports Players and Esports Club (9 awards) Group 6: The Most Popular Game Content Creator on AIS eSports Fanpage (1 prize) Group 7: Special Award (1 prize) Comprehensive details regarding the results of the Thailand Social AIS Gaming Awards 2025 announcement can be followed on the official AIS eSports Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/AISeSports.
