AIS Business has collaborated with Bridge Alliance and Thales to launch the world’s first multi-operator enterprise eSIM connectivity network for Internet of Things (IoT) deployments. Built on the latest GSMA SGP.32 specification, the new solution allows enterprise customers across Thailand and the Asia-Pacific region to seamlessly connect, manage, and switch IoT devices across multiple telecom operators through a single orchestration platform.
Next-Generation Cross-Border Connectivity Infrastructure
The deployment addresses core operational challenges faced by enterprises operating across international borders. Traditionally, multi-market IoT operations required complex, operator-specific provisioning and manual SIM management, driving up operational costs. By utilizing Thales’ end-to-end IoT eSIM technology integrated with GSMA SGP.32 standards, the unified platform enables centralized connectivity orchestration. Connected devices can automatically switch to the optimal local network without requiring physical SIM card replacements.

Regional Ecosystem Validation and Industry Use Cases
The multi-operator framework was validated through cross-border testing involving Bridge Alliance member operators, including AIS, Globe Telecom, Optus, and Singtel. The testing verified compatibility for devices supporting both the IoT Profile Assistant Embedded (IPAe) and IoT Profile Assistant on Device (IPAd) configurations under the GSMA SGP.32 standard. GlobalData projects cellular IoT and machine-to-machine (M2M) connections in Asia-Pacific will reach 1.3 billion by 2030, underscoring the demand for standardized cross-border connectivity architectures.
