Vibrant “Mamma Mia!” Grand Opening
La Fontana Bangkok officially unveiled its authentic coastal Italian-Mediterranean dining concept alongside a stylish new Cocktail Bar during a Grand Opening event at Galeri 24 on Sukhumvit Soi 24. Hosted under a high-energy “Mamma Mia!” theme, the evening gathered media partners and VIP guests to experience coastal gastronomy and social hospitality in the heart of the capital. Guests dressed in blue and white attire gathered in a Mediterranean atmosphere designed to encourage conversation and relaxed indulgence.
The celebration highlighted La Fontana’s dedication to an authentic European taste profile, led by a Head Chef relocated directly from Lake Como. The kitchen emphasizes genuine seafood flavors, old-world coastal recipes, and curated wines. Supported by Yummy Greece and Italian beer brand Birra Moretti, the venue positions itself as an independent culinary destination for experience-driven diners seeking authentic coastal traditions.

Artisanal Cocktail Bar and Coastal Tasting Menu
A core component of the evening was the official debut of La Fontana’s new Cocktail Bar, designed to expand the city’s evening scene with chilled sundown aperitivos and late-night gatherings. Attendees sampled the initial offerings of an eight-part signature cocktail program crafted to complement seafood-led dishes. The menu combines classic Italian mixology and spirits with modern touches, paired alongside curated Greek and Italian coastal wines.
During the event, guests experienced a specialized tasting menu featuring Mediterranean dips with artisanal flatbreads, followed by a mixed Arugula and Pear Salad topped with aged Parmigiano shavings and extra virgin olive oil. The main courses highlighted authentic coastal cooking, including Fresh Gnocchi Bolognese, Spanish Octopus Leg served over Sicilian capers and mashed potatoes, and signature Cavatelli alle Vongole—a uniquely-shaped pasta native to the Head Chef’s hometown, tossed with fresh clams in a zesty pesto sauce.
