Alibaba.com has officially introduced Accio, an agentic artificial intelligence business team designed to manage end-to-end cross-border trade operations for small and medium-sized enterprises in Thailand.

The debut took place at the Thailand B2B AI Seller Summit 2026, organized under the theme “Beyond Export: Powering Thai SMEs for the Global Stage with Accio” at the DITP Hall in Bangkok on September 15, 2026. The platform operates as a plug-and-play suite of specialized AI agents that autonomously execute export workflows including global market research, product planning, supplier sourcing, price negotiation, multilingual listing generation, digital marketing, and storefront management without requiring technical coding backgrounds.

Alongside the primary system, Alibaba.com introduced the Smart Assistant Agent powered by Accio, which is natively integrated into the Alibaba.com Seller Workbench. This integration gives local merchants direct access to full-stack execution capabilities, allowing businesses to run complex international trade procedures directly within their existing management console.

Bridging Thailand’s Cross-Border Export Gap

Thailand’s enterprise landscape relies heavily on small and medium-sized enterprises, which represent 99.5% of all national businesses—amounting to over 3.1 million enterprises—and generate more than 70% of total domestic employment. Although these businesses contribute approximately 35% of Thailand’s gross domestic product, their direct cross-border trade accounts for less than 15% of total export value, indicating an untapped export capacity for regional manufacturing sectors.

The deployment of Accio is structured to address the operational challenges that prevent local suppliers from expanding abroad. Roger Luo, Head of South and Southeast Asia Business at Alibaba.com, stated that the company is focused on equipping Thai entrepreneurs with enterprise-grade execution capabilities, enabling them to discover high-intent global buyers, automate multi-language negotiations around the clock, and streamline cross-border compliance. He added that Accio was built to help Thai SMEs and solopreneurs overcome cross-border barriers, bridge structural resource gaps, and scale their footprint worldwide.

Platform activity shows growing demand for Thai merchandise, with seller product listings on Alibaba.com expanding by more than 150% year over year in August 2026, accompanied by an over 90% increase in international buyer inquiries. High-growth sectors driving this demand include food and beverages, beauty and personal care, automotive parts and accessories, and consumer electronics. Vutthisak Kanjanaporn, Director of the Digital Commerce Market Bureau at the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), noted that digital tools are essential for Thai businesses, particularly SMEs, to keep pace with technological developments, understand foreign markets, connect with international buyers, and compete more effectively in the global marketplace.

Autonomous Architecture Across Three Strategic Pillars

To solve recurring operational bottlenecks—such as steep learning curves in overseas markets, shortages of specialized B2B export personnel, and heavy manual documentation—Accio coordinates tasks across three functional operating pillars:

First, the system delivers strategic advisory by providing market-entry direction, tariff classifications, and product category planning derived from real-time global trade intelligence. Second, it deploys a continuous 24/7 digital workforce that processes international trade pipelines, qualifies prospective buyers, and handles inquiries across global time zones in multiple languages without increasing corporate overhead or payroll costs. Third, it automates supply chain administration by managing catalog optimization, listing updates, and routine export compliance tasks.

Ethan Wang, Head of Global Seller Products & Services at Alibaba.com, stated that Accio is designed to give SMEs a truly plug-and-play AI team that is simpler to adopt, more professional in execution, and more autonomous in operation. He noted that by helping businesses launch faster, make smarter decisions, and run continuously, the platform redefines how small teams can compete and win on the global stage.

Availability and Membership Programs

The platform was introduced alongside new Alibaba.com supplier membership tiers tailored to regional exporters seeking international distribution channels.

Thai business operators, manufacturers, and individual entrepreneurs can access the autonomous agentic infrastructure through the integrated Alibaba.com Seller Workbench or directly via the official portal at https://www.accio.com/.
