Responsible AI Governance and Infrastructure
During the session “From Algorithmic Shock to Ethical Shift: Why Trust is the Currency of Thailand’s Digital Future,” Mr. Sigve Brekke, Group CEO of True Corporation Plc., emphasized the necessity of governing artificial intelligence alongside its technical acceleration. Comparing AI to a supercar, Mr. Brekke noted that greater power and speed introduce elevated risks without clear guardrails.
“As AI increasingly recommends, supports decisions and carries out certain tasks on our behalf, the critical questions become: when AI gets something wrong, who is accountable, who fixes it, and who has the authority to stop it?” stated Mr. Sigve Brekke. To address these challenges, True implements an end-to-end AI governance model covering risk screening, privacy reviews, human-in-the-loop oversight, shared partner accountability, and an internal AI Council, while calling on public and private entities to develop responsible AI frameworks in parallel with adoption.
Digital Education and Environmental Stewardship
True highlighted several operational initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), led by executive presentations from Mr. Sigve Brekke, Group CEO; Dr. Naetchanok Wipatasinlapin, Chief Sustainability Officer; and Mr. Chakkrit Urairat, Chief Regulatory and Government Relations. The company showcased network and energy efficiency driven by AI, certified e-waste recycling pathways, and zero-cost cybersecurity via True CyberSafe.
Supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education), True Plookpanya and the CONNEXT ED Foundation established a model classroom displaying a five-step Child-Centric Learning approach: Ask Questions, Search for Answers, Learn by Doing Together, Discuss with Reason, and Improve toward Excellence. The interactive installation incorporated True-supplied laptops, digital learning media, and AI tools to encourage self-guided exploration.
Medical Drone Logistics via True SkyBridge
In the session “Turning Frontier Technology into Real-World Innovation,” Mr. Ekaraj Panjavinin, Head of Research & Innovation at True Corporation Plc., outlined the deployment of True SkyBridge. The system operates as a drone-based logistics network engineered to transport medicines and clinical samples, moving deep-tech research into practical application.
The platform has completed testing under diverse meteorological and regulatory conditions. True SkyBridge adopts a centralized platform model that integrates hospitals, data management infrastructure, and third-party drone operators to bypass traditional logistical bottlenecks.
Inclusive Art and Circular Economy Initiatives
The showcase concluded with community programs organized by True Plookpanya, the Autistic Thai Foundation, and Artstory by Autistic Thai. The organizations operated the “Healing Through Art” workshop, where participants decorated photo-frame magnets crafted from recycled paper pulp with guidance from autistic creators.
The initiative merged circular economy principles with inclusive employment, reinforcing Artstory by Autistic Thai’s model as a social enterprise generating career pathways and sustainable income.
