Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS) announced robust financial results for the third quarter of 2026, posting total revenue of THB 58,061 million and a net profit of THB 13,504 million. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) grew 4.5% year-on-year, exceeding the company’s target growth guidance of 2–4% through disciplined cost control and quality-driven operations.

The telecom operator’s continuous push into intelligent digital infrastructure was headlined by the expansion of its AIS 5G-ADVANCED service. Bangkok has become the world’s first city to achieve 100% citywide 5G-Advanced uplink coverage, with rollouts actively expanding across all 77 provincial capital districts nationwide. Marking the first commercial deployment of its kind in Southeast Asia, the network integrates artificial intelligence with carrier aggregation to deliver download speeds up to 1.5 times faster and upload speeds up to twice as fast, specifically engineered to support data-intensive AI applications, live streaming, and content creation.

AIS’s core operational segments demonstrated solid growth across the board:

  • Mobile Connectivity: Mobile subscriptions reached 47.2 million, adding 52,800 net subscribers in Q3. Postpaid connections saw strong traction with 159,500 additions, lifting mobile service revenue by 4.4% compared to Q3 2025. The operator maintained strict identity verification protocols to counter online fraud and safeguard user security.

  • Fixed Broadband: AIS 3BB FIBRE3 expanded its customer base to 5.4 million subscribers, adding 45,500 users during the quarter. Segment revenue grew 5.5%, supported by value-oriented connectivity bundles, “Smart Living” home integration, and convergence offerings like the PLAY ALL entertainment package.

  • Enterprise & AI Infrastructure: Enterprise demand surged for data connectivity, cloud, and data centre capacity, propelled by Thailand’s emergence as a regional digital hub. Global tech investments and enterprise-level AI adoption drove increased uptake of AIS’s digital and enterprise infrastructure solutions.

  • Retail & Device Sales: Retail revenue climbed 16% quarter-on-quarter, driven by high demand for flagship devices—including the iPhone 18 lineup and premium Android smartphones. Device adoption was further accelerated by the rollout of 3-hour fast delivery in Bangkok, in-store guidance from “AIS PRO” specialists, and device financing options via digital lending partner CLICX.

  • Entertainment & Lifestyle Content: Spurred by viewership around the Asian Games, AIS expanded its digital content portfolio. Highlights include a four-year broadcasting agreement with UC3 for UEFA football tournaments, alongside major sports rights (Bundesliga, NBA, NFL, ATP, LPGA) and bundled vertical drama platforms such as ReelShort and DramaBox.

  • Digital Financial Services: The operator deepened ecosystem synergy by tying digital financing with everyday telecom transactions, partnering with CLICX to support installment plans, top-ups, and device purchases.

For the full year 2026, AIS reaffirmed its planned capital expenditure guidance of THB 30,000–35,000 million. The company will continue directing capital toward high-speed fixed broadband and 5G network enhancements to reinforce Thailand’s digital competitiveness and long-term economic development.
