The Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA), under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, is gearing up for the final round of its annual EDC Pitching competition. The event, scheduled for August 7th at SCBX NEXT TECH, Siam Paragon, aims to uncover innovative campaign ideas promoting mindful and balanced internet usage,aligning with the globally trending concept of “Digital Wellness Lifestyle.”
Dr. Chaichana Mitrpant, Director of ETDA, emphasized the agency’s commitment to fostering a robust digital society through ongoing education and awareness initiatives on safe and constructive internet practices. “This year’s EDC Pitching competition offers a unique platform for the younger generation to contribute their ideas for promoting digital well-being, a topic of growing global significance,” he stated.

Digital Wellness refers to achieving a healthy balance between online and offline life, with the ultimate goal of enhancing physical and mental well-being in the digital age. The competition serves as a platform for young individuals to actively participate in shaping a digitally healthy society.
The EDC Pitching Season 2 competition has garnered immense interest, with 69 teams submitting their entries. After a rigorous selection process by a panel of experts, 10 teams have been shortlisted for the final round. These teams will participate in workshops to refine their ideas and plans before presenting their final pitches to the judges.
Three Challenges for Digital Wellness Campaigns
The 10 finalist teams will be tasked with presenting campaigns that address three key areas:
- Screen Time Management: Effective management of screen time.
- Digital Detox: Taking breaks from the digital world to rejuvenate both physically and mentally.
- Digital Mindfulness: Practicing mindfulness and awareness in internet usage.
Prizes Worth Over 150,000 Baht
The winning team will receive a cash prize totaling 150,000 baht, along with a trophy and certificates. The event will also feature a certificate presentation ceremony for the third generation of EDC Trainers, who will play a crucial role in disseminating knowledge and skills for responsible internet use to the wider community.
