The tournament, recognized as the largest of its kind in Thailand, has expanded its reach this year by collaborating with government agencies across 19 provinces and various educational institutions. This strategic move is set to provide aspiring esports enthusiasts with unprecedented access to competitive platforms and training opportunities.
Rungthip Jarusiripipat, Managing Director of Entertainment and Content Business Partnership at AIS, emphasized the significance of this initiative in the context of the burgeoning global esports industry. “The esports market is witnessing exponential growth, with increasing viewership, prize pools, and brand investments,” she noted. “We recognize the importance of nurturing young talent in Thailand and equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive in this dynamic landscape.”
The competition will feature ROV, a popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, as its central focus. The tournament structure includes an open registration round, followed by qualifiers and culminating in a national championship. Participants will vie for a prize pool exceeding 200,000 baht.
