BANGKOK, THAILAND – In an inspiring display of creativity and digital literacy, Thai students have taken center stage in the fight against cyber threats. The challenge, designed to empower students to become content creators and advocates for safe online practices, saw enthusiastic participation from schools nationwide. The resulting videos, centered around the theme of creative online usage, showcased the students’ understanding of the Aunjai Cyber curriculum’s core principles: Practice, Personality,Protection, and Participation.
Siripong Angkasakulkiat, Advisor to the Minister of Education, praised the initiative as a shining example of public-private collaboration in equipping students with the skills to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. The videos produced by the students, he noted, will serve as valuable educational resources for their peers, parents, and communities.
OBEC Director Emphasizes Digital Citizenship
Ph.D. Wisanu Subsombat, Director of the Bureau of Academic Affairs and Educational Standards at OBEC, highlighted the importance of digital citizenship and cybersecurity in today’s world. The competition, he said, provided students with a platform to translate their knowledge into creative content that promotes responsible online behavior.
Saichon Submakudom, Head of Public Relations and Business Relations at AIS, expressed his admiration for the students’ diverse storytelling abilities and their commitment to making the internet a safer place. The event, he said, demonstrated the power of education and collaboration in addressing the growing challenges of cyber threats.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suvit Saetia, President of KMUTT, commended the students for their impressive content creation skills.The videos, he said, reflected the students’ deep understanding of the Aunjai Cyber curriculum and their ability to apply that knowledge to real-world challenges.
