Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has been awarded the Thailand Domestic Capital Markets Distribution Initiative of the Year at The Wholesale Banking Awards 2026, organized by Asian Banking and Finance (ABF). The recognition highlights SCB’s leadership in transforming capital market investments through digital technology , making debt and equity instruments accessible to retail investors nationwide via its SCB EASY application.
Transforming Investment Access Through SCB EASY
SCB has established a comprehensive online distribution platform through the SCB EASY application. The platform facilitates primary market subscriptions for a wide array of financial instruments, including corporate debentures, common stocks, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), and infrastructure funds. This initiative streamilnes the fundraising process for corporate issuers while simultaneously broadening investment access for individual retail investors across Thailand.
Through the EASY-D Debenture Account, retail investors can securely hold scripless corporate debentures in a digital format. This system eliminates the need for physical branch visits, providing a completely digital, end-to-end investment process. The platform supports the bank’s “Digital Bank with Human Touch” strategy by operating digital and traditional channels in parallel to create a cohesive omnichannel experience.
“This achievement reflects SCB’s commitment to leveraging digital technology to drive innovation in Thailand’s capital markets, making capital market investments more accessible and convenient for retail investors,” said Mr. Tanapot Parksuwan, Chief Corporate and Institutional Banking Officer at Siam Commercial Bank, who announced the milestone alongside Miss Anute Pathipvanich, Head of Investment Banking and Primary Markets Distribution.
Portfolio Features and Market Performance
Originally launched in 2023 as a scripless debenture deposit account, the EASY-D service has evolved into a full-scale debenture management solution. The integrated features allow users to handle primary market subscriptions, deposit scripless debentures, manage consolidated portfolios, and engage in secondary market debenture trading directly within the app. Additionally, the platform features “MyAlert,” an automated notification system that alerts investors regarding upcoming coupon payments and debenture maturity dates.
Since its inception, the EASY-D Debenture Account has facilitated approximately THB 100 billion in primary market debenture subscriptions through the SCB EASY application. The platform continues to expand fundraising capacity for corporate clients while serving retail and high-net-worth investors across Thailand.
