Breaking future computing barriers into practical industry solutions, True Corporation has partnered with national and global alliances to accelerate Quantum Club Thailand through three core flagship engines, developing workforce talent, piloting telecom-energy use cases, and opening collaborative innovation labs ahead of commercial quantum shifts.

True Corporation and Alliances Establish Quantum Club Thailand

True Corporation Plc, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), Charoen Pokphand Group, Arise by Infinitas, the Quantum Technology Research Initiative Consortium (QTRic), and US-based software partner qBraid, has launched Quantum Club Thailand. The national initiative integrates public agencies, academic researchers, and enterprise sectors to advance national readiness across complex computing infrastructure.

The national platform focuses on shifting Thailand from quantum awareness to practical quantum capability across four technical pillars: Quantum Optimization, Quantum Simulation, Quantum AI, and Quantum Security covering post-quantum cryptography. Addressing the urgency of this transition, Ekaraj Panjavinin, Chief Digital Officer and Head of Research and Innovation at True Corporation Plc, stated that quantum is not an immediate requirement for tomorrow, but national readiness is critical before the technology curve steepens rapidly, ensuring Thailand does not miss the transformation.

Hybrid Computing Architecture and Cloud Access via qBraid

The transition toward commercial quantum computing addresses the physical processing ceilings of classical CPU and GPU architectures. While conventional hardware processes computations sequentially, Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) evaluate multivariable possibilities simultaneously, cutting processing windows from weeks to seconds in specific operational use cases.

Beyond compute speed, quantum systems lower overall electrical consumption compared to large-scale data computing facilities, supporting enterprise sustainability. Modern architectures utilize a Hybrid Computing framework that coordinates CPUs, GPUs, and QPUs together. Through the collaboration with qBraid, Thai researchers and businesses gain cloud-based access to global QPUs via a token subscription model, allowing proof-of-concept testing with budgets starting at hundreds of thousands of baht rather than requiring hundreds of millions in dedicated laboratory facilities.

Three Program Engines to Build Talent and Industry Adoption

To execute its strategic roadmap, Quantum Club Thailand implements the One National Platform, Three Program Engines framework. The operational cycle connects human resource training, industrial challenge matching, and shared experimental sandboxes to sustain continuous deep-tech development.

The first engine, Quantum Academy, oversees talent development through the Quantum Ready Thailand (QRT) Certification, structured across four proficiency tiers: Foundation, Practitioner, Specialist, and Architect. The initial pilot cohort of 50 fully subsidized seats filled immediately, with formal coursework commencing on October 16 utilizing hands-on training on qBraid cloud QPUs.

The remaining two engines focus on industrial deployment and cross-sector collaboration. Quantum Industry serves as the deployment accelerator, matching business problems to value models and testing live implementations. Simultaneously, Quantum Lab provides open collaborative grounds through Open Circle community forums, funneling industry challenges into specialized Focus Circles and Build Labs for joint research and development.

Pilot Applications in Telecom Optimization and Energy Management

True Corporation has initiated the Quantum Power Telco pilot project to optimize national telecommunications networks. Managing tens of thousands of cellular base stations and multiple spectrum bands under fluctuating 24-hour user traffic requires complex parameter calculations. Deploying Quantum Optimization and Quantum Machine Learning algorithms assists in network resource allocation and infrastructure planning across 5G and 6G networks.

The telecommunications pilot also addresses network energy consumption by automating base station power loads in real time to cut energy waste. This initiative directly connects with broader Energy Optimization challenges, including smart grid management, renewable energy balancing, and backup storage allocation. Detailing the deployment timeline, Ekaraj Panjavinin noted that while classical computing handles current cell site variables, quantum models will improve network management during dynamic shifts and flood events, with the first digital twin prototype scheduled for testing on December 10 before field expansion.

Q’Lab Open Circle Insights and Cybersecurity Roadmap

The inaugural Q’Lab – Open Circle #001 workshop on September 18 gathered over 60 researchers, corporate leaders, and international specialists, including representatives from IBM, the Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B) under MHESI, and university researchers from the QTRic network. Participants concluded that Thailand’s development requires breaking organizational silos and training “translators” who can convert commercial business challenges into mathematical and quantum computing models.

Discussions prioritized applications in supply chain logistics, medicine and life sciences, telecommunications infrastructure, renewable energy, and space technology. Addressing network vulnerabilities, the alliance prioritized Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) readiness to protect commercial data against future quantum decryption capabilities. True Corporation will begin pilot trials of Quantum-Safe Encryption with its first group of enterprise clients in December to evaluate infrastructure security baselines.

Future Expansion Across Commercial Banking and Healthcare

Quantum Club Thailand is expanding its operations to target high-impact economic sectors. Quantum Academy is launching a dedicated Talent Community alongside advanced coursework to prepare specialized workforces for the financial, commercial banking, and healthcare sectors.

For commercial operations, Quantum Industry is conducting discussions with commercial banks to implement quantum algorithms for financial modeling and modern banking risk simulations. Concurrently, Quantum Lab will increase its workshop frequency with public and private stakeholders to convert commercial problem sets into national intellectual property and deep-tech assets.
