Wuling, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, is making a strong push into the Thai electric vehicle market with the launch of its latest model, the Wuling Binguo EV, starting at 419,000 baht. The company has also announced its readiness to manufacture the vehicle in Thailand, with a sales target of 2,000 units by the end of the year.

EV Primus, the official importer and distributor of Wuling electric vehicles in Thailand, held the official launch event for the Wuling Binguo EV at CentralWorld shopping mall. The model boasts a unique retro-classic design and a spacious interior, catering to the lifestyle of the new generation who desire a cost-effective and stylish electric vehicle.
Mr.Pitaya Tanadamrongsak, CEO of EV Primus Co., Ltd., stated, “Despite the intense price competition in the Thai electric vehicle market, EV Primus will not engage in a price war. We will focus on differentiation through quality products and unique designs at the most affordable prices.”
The Wuling Binguo EV comes equipped with a 50 kW or 68 horsepower electric motor and a 31.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing a maximum range of 333 kilometers per charge. It also features a large rear cargo compartment that can be adjusted to suit various needs.
To build customer confidence, EV Primus has opened a new headquarters with a showroom and standard service center in central Bangkok, along with a technical center to manage after-sales service standards for dealers nationwide.Additionally, the company has invested over 200 million baht in building a Wuling electric vehicle assembly plant in the Laem Chabang Industrial Estate, which is expected to start production in August 2024.
The launch of the Wuling Binguo EV at an accessible price, along with the investment in a manufacturing plant in Thailand, reflects Wuling’s commitment to becoming a leader in the Thai electric vehicle market.
