AIS continues its commitment to driving the Thai gaming and eSports industry forward by partnering with Red Bull to create the biggest and most exciting university-level eSports competition of the year, the AIS 5G eSports U Series Thailand Championship 2024 by Red Bull. This competition has received collaboration from 10 leading educational institutions across the country, reinforcing the intention to create space and opportunities for new eSports athletes to showcase their potential and grow in their careers.
Rungtip Jarusiripipat, Acting Head of Game and Partner Service Management at AIS, mentioned the continuous growth of the gaming industry in Thailand, especially mobile games, which account for over 85% of all gamers, totaling 42 million people. Additionally, there are 6.4 million eSports viewers. These numbers reflect the immense potential and opportunity to develop Thailand’s digital economy through the gaming and eSports industry.
AIS is committed to working with partners to create platforms that provide opportunities for young people who are passionate about eSports to showcase their abilities and develop their skills. The collaboration with Red Bull this time marks a significant step in inspiring and promoting eSports athletes to the professional level.

The AIS 5G eSports U Series Thailand Championship 2024 by Red Bull will continue to use ROV as the main game in the competition. There will be a total of 16 participating teams, divided into representatives from 10 partner universities and another 6 teams from the OPEN round competition.
