Roblox hosted its media-focused ‘UNBOX ROBLOX’ event in Bangkok, Thailand, demonstrating how users interact with the platform across gaming, learning, digital safety, and content development. The event served as a showcase for its platform ecosystem, emphasizing youth-oriented safety infrastructure, partner integrations, and mobile-first tools designed to expand local game development.

The familiarization session allowed attendees to experience the platform across four core perspectives: players, parents, creators, and commercial partners. Platform demonstrations highlighted how community members engage with interactive content while providing local creators and brand partners a global distribution channel.

Advancing Safety Infrastructure and Mobile Creation Tools

Roblox underscored its age-based account infrastructure, highlighting the rollout of Roblox Kids for users under nine and Roblox Select for users under fifteen. To assist families in managing digital activity, the company highlighted Family Zone, a feature launched in July 2026 that allows parents and children to explore interactive environments together with enhanced parental controls and educational guidance.

Alongside its desktop developer environment Roblox Studio, the company introduced Build in Thailand. Build operates as a mobile-first creation utility integrated within the Roblox mobile app, enabling users to generate starting gameplay environments directly from text prompts. Creators can iterate, test, and publish playable experiences entirely on mobile devices without relying on desktop development hardware.

“Thailand has one of the most creative and engaged communities on Roblox, and we’re committed to helping it grow,” said Papri Dev, Head of APAC Communications at Roblox. “Bringing Build to Thailand means anyone with an idea can start creating, and we’re excited to see what Thai creators make next. We’re excited to continue engaging with our thriving creator community, as we continue investing in the market and wider Southeast Asia region.”

Spotlighting Thai Game Studios and Commercial Ecosystems

The showcase spotlighted prominent Thai development teams that have scaled local cultural IP to international audiences. Pall’s Studio, led by student creators Pall and Runway, demonstrated traction in the horror genre. Their flagship title, 6PM, has accumulated more than 28 million visits and over 176,000 player favorites, which led to a brand collaboration developing a promotional game experience for the Netflix film Ghost Board.

Educational content creation was represented by Jinn Kode Code, a father-and-son developer duo consisting of young competitive coder Jinn and his father, Anutr. The duo publishes development tutorials across YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok to instruct families and educators on Roblox Studio programming. In addition to educational outreach, the studio has built tailored interactive applications for corporate brands, financial institutions, and the Thai government, including the commercial experience Taro Roll Party for Taro Snack, which surpassed one million visits.

Beyond independent studios, Roblox outlined its partner ecosystem through The Block, demonstrating interactive entertainment and music experiences built for enterprise brands. The Bangkok showcase forms part of a broader Southeast Asian regional presence, with Zhen Fang, Vice President of International at Roblox, presenting at gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2026 on October 30, followed by the Roblox Creator Series SEA summit on October 31.
