Rajadamnern World Series has set an ambitious target to welcome one million visitors annually by 2028, backed by an additional investment of over THB 100 million into immersive venue technology following a record run of 50 consecutive sold-out weeks at Rajadamnern Stadium.
Rapid Attendance Growth and Arena Modernization
The historic Bangkok venue recorded more than 350,000 attendees during the first half of 2026, effectively doubling its visitor numbers year-on-year after hosting 500,000 spectators across 2025. This sustained expansion has been underpinned by strong inbound interest from both Western and Asian travel markets, positioning the venue as a resilient cultural destination despite broader headwinds across Thailand’s tourism sector.
To sustain this momentum, RWS—operated by Global Sport Ventures Co., Ltd.—deployed more than THB 100 million in capital expenditures in early 2026. The investment focused on high-specification immersive technology, state-of-the-art projection systems, and elevated visual production capabilities designed to blend authentic Muay Thai heritage with contemporary entertainment standards.

Daily Event Ecosystem and Economic Ripple Effect
The stadium operates as the only combat sports facility globally to host professional bouts seven days a week, delivering more than 360 events per year. This ongoing schedule provides a continuous competitive platform for upwards of 5,000 fighters annually, with cumulative fighter purses and tournament prize money projected to reach THB 1 billion in the near future.
“As the only combat sports venue in the world to host competitions every day, Rajadamnern creates opportunities and economic activity throughout the entire Muay Thai industry,” said Thainchai Pisitwuttinan, Chief Executive Officer of RWS. “We expect Rajadamnern Stadium to welcome up to one million visitors in 2028. Our vision is to establish Rajadamnern as one of Thailand’s leading cultural and sporting destinations while serving as a year-round platform for Muay Thai”.
The high frequency of programming extends commercial benefits beyond the ring to trainers, training camps, broadcast production crews, and local hospitality vendors. The venue has also broadened its commercial ties through strategic brand alliances, including joint activations under Mastercard’s Priceless campaign that connect fight audiences with domestic travel and service privileges.

Global Broadcast Distribution and Digital Reach
International visibility has expanded significantly following the milestone 200th RWS event. Competitions are distributed via DAZN and partner networks to audiences across more than 200 countries and territories every Saturday, supported by an athlete roster that includes 15 reigning world champions, one-third of whom represent international nationalities.
Online exposure has accelerated concurrently, with tournament and stadium-related content surpassing five billion cumulative views across social media channels. The arena has increasingly served as a key stop for high-profile figures, welcoming guests such as French President Emmanuel Macron, entrepreneur Jack Ma, and international athletes including Tyson Fury, Gennadiy Golovkin, and Eliud Kipchoge.
On independent travel aggregators, the venue currently ranks No. 1 on GetYourGuide, No. 4 on Trip.com and Klook, and No. 9 on Tripadvisor, with consecutive weekly sell-outs extending unbroken since November 2025.
