KASIKORNBANK (KBank) has outlined the execution of its enhanced “K-Strategy 3+1 & P” and dedicated Customer Strategy to pursue quality and sustainable growth across retail, SME, and corporate segments amid shifting global headwinds and an uneven economic recovery.

Driving Balanced Expansion Across Priority Segments

Ms. Kattiya Indaravijaya, Chief Executive Officer of KBank, emphasized that the bank is orienting its strategic execution toward long-term resilience rather than short-term headline volume. Speaking at the bank’s strategy briefing, Ms. Kattiya stated that navigating economic transformations requires cross-sector collaboration under a “Team Thailand” approach to boost national competitiveness, while accelerating capability development and technology adoption.

The strategy is backed by operational indicators recorded over the nine-month period of 2026, where the bank registered a Net Interest Margin (NIM) of 2.89 percent against its full-year target range of 2.75 to 2.95 percent. Net fee income grew 16.33 percent year-on-year, while the gross non-performing loan (NPL) ratio stood at 3.18 percent, remaining within the ceiling guidance of under 3.25 percent. The bank’s cost-to-income ratio stood at 40.79 percent, supported by disciplined balance-sheet management and existing customer relationships that accounted for 99 percent of new credit bookings.

Scaling Capital-Lite Income and SME Advisory

Dr. Pipatpong Poshyanonda, President of KBank, highlighted that modern financial services depend on deep advisory relationships and targeted digital capability rather than commoditized product delivery. With small and medium-sized enterprises generating more than 70 percent of employment across Thailand, KBank is focusing on non-credit solutions, cross-border business networking, and capacity-building platforms including the K SME Care program, which is currently operating in its 27th consecutive cohort. The bank presently holds a 28 percent market share in business owner lending alongside top Net Promoter Score (NPS) rankings in the category.

In wealth and digital transaction operations, KBank expanded its wealth customer base by 16 percent year-to-date and mutual fund assets under management (AUM) by 8 percent, securing a market-leading 22.6 percent market share. The digital ecosystem recorded over 24 million users on the K PLUS mobile banking platform and sustained a 30 percent share in nationwide digital payments. Dr. Pipatpong noted that artificial intelligence deployment is strictly focused on augmenting workforce productivity and risk screening rather than replacing customer-facing human advisory.

Capturing New Investment Cycles and Infrastructure

Mr. Chongrak Rattanapian, President of KBank, detailed the bank’s corporate portfolio positioning as Thailand enters a new investment cycle led by foreign direct investment in data centers, electric vehicles, smart electronics, and clean energy ecosystems. Corporate business loans recorded an expansion of approximately 7 percent year-to-date, serving as a primary driver of overall loan volume.

To mitigate broader market volatility, KBank has instituted proactive compliance workflows, stress testing, and transaction surveillance for cash-related movements exceeding 5 million Baht under Bank of Thailand regulatory frameworks. In capital markets, the institution retained its number-one ranking in domestic corporate bond underwriting while maintaining market leadership in merchant acquiring and collection services.

Enhancing Everyday Retail and Sustainable Finance

Mr. Rungruang Sukkirdkijpiboon, President of KBank, addressed the retail banking environment, pointing to product personalization and automated underwriting to serve evolving customer lifestyles alongside new virtual bank market entrants. KBank holds a 19 percent market share in credit card spending and a 35 percent market share in card and QR merchant services. In home lending, payroll-linked retail applicants receive preliminary approvals through the K PLUS mobile application within 15 minutes, while alternative financing channels like LINE BK broaden credit access for underserved groups under responsible lending guidelines.

On environmental transition commitments, KBank has deployed more than 253 billion Baht in cumulative sustainable financing and investments from 2022 through the third quarter of 2026, progressing toward its cumulative target of 400 to 500 billion Baht by 2030. The bank provides technical assistance and carbon footprint calculation tools via the KClimate 1.5 platform, assisting commercial supply chains in complying with carbon regulations including CBAM, EUDR, and Thailand’s draft Climate Change Act.
