The Shell Company of Thailand Limited secured three recognitions at the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) Thailand International Business Awards (TIBA) 2026 in Bangkok. The energy firm won the Most Innovative Company corporate category, while also receiving the Seasoned Professional award and finishing as Runner Up in the Exceptional Entrepreneur division.

Highlights of Shell’s Innovation and Technology Deployments

Shell’s recognition in the Most Innovative Company category is anchored by an annual global research and development expenditure exceeding THB 30 billion across five integrated technology centres operating in more than 80 countries. In upstream operations, the organization utilizes deep-water and ultra-deep-water drilling technologies, advanced seismic imaging, subsurface geological modelling, subsea robotics, and its proprietary Smart Field system, which integrates sensors, digital twins, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI) for real-time production optimization. In the liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector, Shell operates the world’s first and largest Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) facility and employs Dual Mixed Refrigerant Process technology alongside the Pearl GTL facility in Qatar.

In downstream development, the company leverages a technical partnership of over 75 years with Scuderia Ferrari HP to formulate products for everyday consumers. These offerings include Shell Helix lubricants and Shell V-Power, which stands as the top-selling premium fuel by volume in Thailand based on Department of Energy Business sales data covering 1 January 2026 to 30 June 2026. According to Kline + Company’s 23rd Edition assessment, Shell maintained an 11.6% global market share in finished lubricants in 2023, retaining its position as the top supplier across consumer automotive (36%), industrial (33%), and commercial automotive (31%) segments.

“Shell is deeply honoured and immensely proud to receive these three awards, which recognize our organization, our people, and our partners,” said Ms. Ornuthai Na Chiangmai, Country Chair of The Shell Company of Thailand Limited. “These accolades reflect Shell’s commitment to contributing to Thailand’s energy sector and growing alongside the country for the past 134 years. We remain dedicated to leveraging our global strengths in innovation and technology to deliver fuels and solutions that meet the needs of consumers, businesses, and communities.”
