Rebuttal of Allegations and Summons Clarification
The company addressed recent police summonses issued to two individuals—one formerly employed by QCP and another who previously worked with the firm—following a complaint lodged by Mr. Prayudh Mahagitsiri. Nestlé clarified that both individuals had already resigned or retired and departed Thailand prior to the issuance of the summonses, resulting in the notices being delivered to locations where they neither live nor work.
Potential arrest warrants stemming from their non-appearance with authorities are strictly tied to procedural failure to meet the police due to absence from the country, rather than any proven wrongdoing. Nestlé stressed that the allegations raised in the complaint remain entirely unproven by any court or official authority.
Status of QCP Joint Venture and Executive Changes
The joint venture agreement between Nestlé and Quality Coffee Products Co., Ltd. (QCP) was officially terminated on 31 December 2024, leading to the complete cessation of operations and the termination of QCP’s rights to manufacture NESCAFÉ products.
Following more than a year of inactive operations and no resolution among shareholders, former QCP Managing Director Mr. Ramon Mendivil stepped down in January 2026 to pursue other career paths. Meanwhile, Mr. Victor Seah, who served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Indochina, officially retired on 30 June 2026 after eight years of service in Thailand.
Operational Continuity and Local Commitment
Nestlé reaffirmed its ongoing business operations in Thailand, focusing on supplying products to local consumers while supporting the economy, society, and the environment. The company continues its procurement activities as a major buyer of locally cultivated Robusta coffee beans from Thai farmers.
