Nestlé (Thai) Ltd. is establishing a highly advanced coffee manufacturing facility and on-site distribution center at ARAYA – The Eastern Gateway to expand domestic production and future export capabilities.
Nestlé (Thai) Ltd. has finalized plans to develop a new coffee production base and distribution center within ARAYA – The Eastern Gateway, utilizing the industrial estate’s infrastructure to integrate modern automation and environmental sustainability standards. The investment will support manufacturing across key product segments while strengthening supply chain operations in the region.
The site will manufacture core NESCAFÉ product lines, including Pure Soluble Coffee, Coffee Mixes, and Ready-to-Drink formats. Alongside production operations, the complex includes a multi-category distribution center designed to handle logistics on-site, serving both local demand and potential export channels.
Economic Impact and Local Sourcing
The facility is projected to create more than 520 local jobs and maintain substantial sourcing ties with domestic agricultural suppliers. Production operations will procure raw inputs such as coffee beans, sugar, and fresh milk directly from Thai farmers, with local ingredient procurement estimated at approximately THB 4.3 billion per year.
According to Mr. Nikhil Chand, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Indochina, Thailand has served as an essential market for Nestlé for over 130 years. He noted that the new facility represents an ongoing operational commitment to Thailand’s economic ecosystem and coffee sector.
“Equipped with the latest technologies, including AI and advanced automation, the facility will enable us to deliver high-quality products and enhance operational efficiency for the benefit of consumers and customers,” stated Chand. “At the same time, it will help strengthen Thailand’s talent base by developing capabilities and expertise in advanced technologies and future-ready innovation.”
Strategic Infrastructure at ARAYA Industrial Estate
Developed through a joint partnership involving Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited, Rojana Industrial Park Public Company Limited, and Asia Industrial Estate Company Limited, the estate provides dedicated logistics connectivity. Situated on Bangna-Trad Road at Km. 32, the location connects directly to the Bangkok-Chonburi Motorway, Suvarnabhumi International Airport, and central Bangkok commercial zones.
The industrial compound operates as Thailand’s first Smart Industrial Estate (SMART I.E.) certified across all seven dimensions by the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT). The ecosystem balances heavy logistical readiness with sustainable operational utilities.
Ms. Kamonkarn Kongkathong, Managing Director of Araya Land Development Company Limited, stated that the development highlights Thailand’s competitiveness as a strategic manufacturing destination and distribution corridor. She confirmed that Araya Land Development will work directly with Nestlé to support long-term plant operations and infrastructure integration at the site.
